Commercial

The building presents a modest and restrained appearance. It is constructed using a sustainable hybrid structure combining timber and concrete. Considerable attention is given to creating a contemporary work environment with excellent acoustic comfort and organically defined work zones.

Encasing this warm structure is a fully glazed envelope, resulting in a bright, open, and transparent workplace—both literally and figuratively.

To create a building that is both visually engaging and highly functional, a double-skin façade is applied around the transparent core. This outer layer serves not only as solar shading but also as a diffuser and a coherent screen, giving the building a unified and distinctive identity. The façade is finished with slender louvres.

The front garden is redesigned as a ‘wild’, native landscape zone, acting as a natural foreground to the striking façade behind it. A winding footpath meanders through this green space, guiding visitors toward the building’s main entrance on the first floor.

A careful selection of materials and colors reinforces the building’s quiet yet refined presence. The glazed skin is constructed as a curtain wall system with dark grey aluminum profiles, emphasizing the transparency and clarity of the architecture. The hybrid structure of timber and concrete is left visibly expressive where possible, contributing to the building’s warm and honest character.

To accommodate the required program while maintaining operational efficiency, the building is composed of three rationally organized levels. Although the overall height increases slightly, this compact form ensures significantly more efficient spatial use compared to the existing cluster of office buildings.

The building minimizes its impact on the site's hydrology by fully utilizing the existing buffering and infiltration infrastructure. The construction footprint remains unchanged from that of the existing structure.

The building supports further optimization of employee and visitor facilities (offices, social amenities, etc.), aligning with Petersime’s long-term vision and integrating seamlessly with other developments on the site. This project does not imply an increase in staff numbers, ensuring that any impact on local mobility remains negligible.

This new office building exemplifies sustainable design. Constructed using the most current construction techniques, materials, and hybrid building principles, it reflects a commitment to high-quality, environmentally conscious architecture.
